Italy: fight for the right to party, fight for the right to exist. Say “No” to Security Bill

On May, 2th, during a Temporary Autonomous Zone in the Lomasona Valley, (Trentino), Norhern Italy, riot police tries to evict the crowd. Punk concerts, hip-hop and live sets of electronic music were being performed. Initially, the Police forces try to seize the sound system, unsucessfully. Then, they come back and put under siege the people still disassembling their equipment and tents. This happens during the night. The attempt has been made by charges and massive use of gas canisters, (CS, rated by international treaties as noxious and dangerous), in the presence of old people and childrens. The crowd resists and leave the place the day after. Italian newspapers immediately distort the truth by talking about violences against police.

This is only one of the latest police abuses in the last months in Italy since the issue of the Security Bill without the Parliament agreement, despite of UN and Human Right Watch‘s warnings on a futher step into a Police State.

In March 25th and in April 12th in Turin there were police abuses during small rave parties (they damage cars and vans by knifes also); in April 11th they broke and beat manifestors during a peaceful demo in Milan who claims for the ceasefire and peace in Gaza.

Several other cases are ocurring in the last weeks for different kind of peaceful protests and flash-mobs, and pursuing irregular migrants more than usual. (For us, detention centres for migrants must be closed and the inhuman policy of repatriation must be ended). Previously, the first Meloni Government’s Act was to increase the sentences and repression against people organizing and/or promoting rave parties:

We know free-parties and raves in Italy were previously oppressed by other Governments too:

We claim for the abolition of the Anti-Rave law and the Security Bill, as both of them threaten rights and freedom. As we wrote in this article, in front of the strong repression in May 2th in Trentino:

“One wonders, outside of rhetoric, who is watching out for public and non-public safety and health, especially in the aftermath of the forcing on the Safety Law”

..  and while military spending is growing exponentially than spending on health and housing..

Subcultures and protest movements are facing to a long-term resistance against the italian State oppression and its fascist core ... see you in the streets, as in Rome during the last week of May, and somewhere else..!
